They Are ALIVE, They Are DEAD

It was a cold winter morning in February of 2015. As dawn began to break, I woke up remembering an unusual dream. The dream, so vivid, so lifelike, I was standing in the dark cave watching.

In the center was a hole with bricks stacked four feet in height. It appeared to be an opening of an old well.

To the right, a tall, dark figure stood in the shadows. To the left a brick wall standing 3 or 4 feet in height. I stood gazing at the hole and the tall, dark figure in the shadows.

I was seeing what looked like people rising and climbing out of the hole. They appeared to be people, yet you could see right through them as if transparent.

I thought they have no soul, yet their bodies are alive.

They are alive, but they are DEAD.

After climbing out of the hole, they walked through the brick wall and into darkness. The tall, dark figure never spoke. It stood in the shadows watching and waiting until everyone walked into the darkness.

I woke up and wrote it down before it faded away.

At the time, I didn’t know what to make of the dream. I wondered if the dream had a particular meaning or significance. I didn’t give it much thought until several months later.

Understanding the Dream

I began crafting a compelling story with an eBook by Lisa Bloom at story-coach.com. My compelling story was a transformation from the powers of darkness and sin to the light of Christ. I finished writing a compelling Testimony of Faith.

This exercise gave me a new perspective.

I thought I was ALIVE in Christ for many years.

I was DEAD because I was not walking in the light of Christ on a continuous basis.
I still had a dysfunctional mindset and was bound to the darkness by the chains of sin and disobedience.

I continued to walk in the darkness with fear. I didn’t “trust” God enough to “obey” his word every day.

The consequences of these personal choices were devastating. I made unhealthy choices and decision in life. I continued to suffer.

I was living a lie and not walking in the light, as he is the light.

As Scripture states;

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1: 1-5 KJV

It helped me comprehend the meaning of the dream.

The people coming out of the hole have become lost in darkness.

They think they’re ALIVE, but they’re souls are DEAD.

Their eyes, blinded to the truth. Their minds are dysfunctional with imaginations of evil. They live in darkness with fear, pain, and anguish.

To come out of the darkness, they need to walk past the shadow of evil in this world and go towards the light of Christ.

The only way out of the darkness is to put your faith or trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You must walk out of the darkness by faith.

That is the only way out!

Those who remain lost in the darkness will continue to suffer pain and mental anguish.

The World has become Darkened, and Evil Abounds

The devil or Satan will have a short time to rule the earth.

The devil lies and imposes fear upon his victims. Death and destruction follow him where ever he goes.

The devil or Satan is standing near watching and waiting to devour you and your testimony of faith. He seeks to keep you from a loving God who can rescue you from the darkness.

If you disbelieve in Jesus Christ, who died for your sins, you will continue walking in darkness. You will be following the devil or Satan, and the results will always be death and destruction.

The eternal pain and mental anguish will be far greater than anything you have suffered on earth.

This torment will last for eternity!

The Lord is calling you to trust in him.

The question is, will you?

Will you walk in the light of Christ by faith?

The Lord is Calling, what choice will you make?
