God can Turn Trash into Treasure

God can turn trash into treasure.

I’m Linda Carleton. I was the middle child of nine children, who grew up in a dysfunctional family with abuse. As children, we had no guidance or direction in life. We had to learn life’s lessons on our own.

The hard way!

I made unhealthy choices in life, dealt with domestic violence; physical and mental abuse. I lived in fear for many years and lost everything including children. I have been kicked down to the ground and stepped on, and at times felt somewhat broken.

My life ended up in the trash can.

It felt worthless and not salvageable. I had no hope for a bright future. I felt deeply hurt, afflicted with grief and was severely damaged.

Then one day God turned that trash into treasure.

Many years ago, I went to a small Mission in Oakland California for a meal. To receive the meal, we had to listen to a Sermon. At the end of the service, the Minister asked anyone who wanted to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to come forward.

My life was in the trash can.

I had no hope!

I needed the Lord!

I went forward to the front of the church and openly confessed my Faith in Jesus out loud to everyone. The next day, I looked out the window of our apartment building and everything looked different outside.

I felt different inside!

I had inner peace like never before. I could feel God’s everlasting love in my heart and the Holy Spirit inside me.

My life changed that day!

God can turn anyone’s trashed life into treasure. He alone can heal your spirit, and give you peace inside, and place his everlasting love in your heart.

To receive this gift, you must have Faith in your heart, believe in Jesus, and confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

Where is your life? Where is your treasure?

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:34 (KJV)

If you let God into your life by having faith in his son Jesus, he will fill your heart with everlasting love and give you the gift of eternal life. He can and will turn your trash into treasure too.
