The Lens of Faith

When you choose to trust in the only way, Jesus Christ and continuously walk by faith in the light of Christ awesome things happen. The Lord will guide the path that is before you. He will surround you with people who can lift you up, help you grow in him and bless your life.

I believe everyone enters our life for a reason. They are a lesson, a blessing and sometimes they can be both.

When you keep your heart open to learning the Lord’s truth, you will begin to experience personal growth and genuine healing.

Over time, the Lord will change your dysfunctional mindset and cleans the pain, anguish, and anger from your heart.

The grace of God transforms you into a Child of God who walks in the light of Christ.

It has taken me over twenty years to transform into the Child of God I am today.

The Lord continues to work through me each day to glorify God. He continues to place people in my path to help accomplish his will. It’s not about me; it’s all about the glory of God to save a sinner like me.

A New Friend

Recently the Lord placed a lovely woman Melanie in my path. I joined her Facebook group She Breaths Life and won her contest. However, the reason the Lord placed Melanie in my life was to alter my mindset regarding my life story.

Melanie helped me get clear with the phrase “The Lens of Faith.”

Now, I’m not sure what Melanie meant by that statement. However, we all view things differently in life. And to me, that statement meant to view my life story from God’s point of view.

Gaining Clarity

What Melanie doesn’t realize is that she helped me find the final piece of the puzzle to gain clarity.

Through the “Lens of Faith,” I gained clarity as to why you suffer through abuse, why people are abusive and what you can do to help others heal.

In the past, I was viewing my life story through the “Lens of Man.” In doing that, I was a victim of child abuse and domestic violence.

I attempted to understand my struggles in life according to man’s point of view.

Trying to understand those struggles with “The Lens of Man” left me confused and never seemed to heal my heart.

Looking through the “Lens of Faith” and viewing my life story from God’s point of view made all the difference.

I have always felt like there was something more to the story. Something more that God was going to have me accomplish for his glory.

I’m happy to say that the “Lens of Faith” has made that mission possible.

 The Mission

I’m on a mission to enlighten you with the genuine “truth, the realities that must be grappled with” and to engage everyone in becoming part of the solution, not part of the problem.

As Bernard Baruch once said;

“Approach each new problem not with a view of finding what you hope will be there, but to get the truth, the realities that must be grappled with. You may not like what you find. In that case you are entitled to try to change it. But do not deceive yourself as to what you do find to be the facts of the situation.”

I will be looking through the “Lens of Faith” and telling you the truth through God’s spiritual point of view.

I was so happy a few days ago. I talked to my daughter, Breyann for the first time.

During our conversation, she asked me “why do you think he was like that?” She was talking about her father and my abusive husband.

I’m happy to say that looking through the “Lens of Faith” we can discover those answers together.

We might not like the truth or accept the answers that are found and can seek to change them. However, the truth will always stand because the Lord is truth.

The truth is never easy to digest. However, it’s the only way to experience genuine healing.

It will take awhile to write and share the truth of the matter. I do hope you will check back for updates as they become available. Also, you can sign up on the blog for email notifications.

 Walk in Love

In the mean time go out into the world and share your heart with others. Walk in love and have empathy, compassion, and mercy for others.

It just might;

  • Make their day a little brighter.
  • Give them hope.
  • Help them through the bad times.
  • Let them know that love still exists in this world.

Choosing to walk in fear is allowing the devil to have victory over you and he will destroy your life and everyone you love dearly.

Trust me; I lived that way for a long time.

Blessing in Christ
